SABE, TU Dublin, has been a hive of activity this semester with an exciting programme of lectures, workshops and field trips hosted by Architects in Residence BothAnd Group – a research-based design studio founded by TU Dublin Alumni Jarek Adamczuk, Alice Clarke, Andrew Ó Murchú and Kate Rushe.
This collaboration has enriched current students’ experiences, introducing the knowledge and skills necessary to address the climate and ecological crises through architectural design processes and innovative approaches for a sustainable future.
The BothAnd Group offered students a bespoke skills-based elective called the ‘The Productive Landscape’, delivered all school lectures, hosted fascinating guests, prepared an ecological reader now available in the Bolton Street Library, and attended Vertical Studio reviews.
BothAnd Group explores the social, ecological and political forces that shape rural territories. Their work spans architecture, landscape architecture, and exhibitions, and has featured at La Biennale Architettura 2023 and the Tallinn Architecture Biennale 2022.
