Barbara Mayr, Programme Manager of GBS, and Marcello Turrini, Programme Director, gave an insight into the International Summer School on green building solutions, an initiative of Austria’s International Student Housing operator OeAD, in cooperation with several Academic and Industries partners.
Drawing from its own expertise as a property developer and operator, OeAD student housing has been organising the Green.Building.Solutions. Summer University since 2011. The Summer University is based on first-hand ecological knowledge and engineering expertise.
Future architects, planners and engineers deepen their knowledge in passive house planning, sustainable urban development, new energy technologies, innovative architecture and ecological design approaches together with local experts in workshops, excursions and lectures.
OeAD has been a major partner of SETU’s BUILDING CHANGE network, with a growing numbers of SETU’s students participating in the GBS Summer University.
The next GBS Summer University is to take place from14 July to 2 August 2025.
