The Higher Education Authority (HEA) launched its mid-term evaluation report on the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 3 on 29 June 2023, as part of the Collaboration Nation conference event at the National Convention Centre.
Building Change was one of 24 HCI Pillar 3-funded projects exhibiting at this event, where the HEA released its mid-term evaluation report on the progress so far in Pillar 3.
Aligned with the aims of the National Skills Strategy 2025, the HCI aims to increase capacity in higher education to provide skills-focused programmes designed to meet priority skills needs, by increasing collaboration between higher education and enterprise, with a focus on innovations in teaching and learning.
The report states that “Pillar 3 aims to deliver innovation on more than 200 new and existing higher education courses, projected to impact over 20,000 students. The key outputs at this mid point exceeded this initial target with close to 1,000 new courses and engagement with over 23,000 learners”
Speaking at the conference panel discussion, TU Dublin Vice President for Sustainability and Building Change project sponsor Jennifer Boyer stated, of the Building Change partnership of all six Schools of Architecture: “We can make a huge amount of change together faster, more effectively, and hopefully more enjoyably”
